Congress Ave Mile is an annual event in Austin. A staple in the local and state wide running community. The slightly downhill race is for all ages and finishes off with a boys and girls highschool elite mile. This features the fastest high school milers in the state. Texas has produced some of the best highschool distance runners to ever run at that level.

Where are the kids??? I didn't see any of the the "born to run/extend-a-care" family group? I think there was close to a 50-100 that ran! It's VERY NICE you included them, but seems that they are second class citizens. Is this because they/we don't have the same amount of money as the rest of Austin? What's up?
