Watch Chelsey Sveinsson run and you'll see she is something special. She is focused, intense, even fierce. Put simply, she's a 16-year-old freight train who has started to turn heads on the running scene. She's one of those girls who runs with the boys without hesitation, one of those teenagers who gets up at the crack of dawn to put in that little bit of extra training when her counterparts are asleep, and one of those runners who appears to be a bona fide phenom with loads of potential. With a 2008 Nike Cross Nationals Championship, and a top-5 finish at the 2008 Footlocker Cross Country Championship under her belt this past season, she's shaping up to be one of the nation's best high school runners.
